The Rover Rally is a robotics competition designed for kids and adults.  It's also designed for spectators and participants to have an amazing day!  There are three competitive events in the Rover Rally that are open for individuals, schools and businesses with team members of any age!

10:00am - Hands-On Expo Opens, Barrel Race Practice Starts
11:00am - Barrel Race Competition Starts
12:00pm - Lunch Break - Skateboarders do Long Jump
12:30pm - Closest to the Pin Practice Starts
1:30pm - Closest to the Pin Competition Starts
2:30pm - End Closest to the Pin (Visit Expo booths)
2:30pm - Long Jump Competition (Expo closes)
3:00pm - Awards and Closing

Overview of Events

Participants will be able to compete in all 3 events with their paid entry fee.  The first run will be scheduled and participants will be able to add their name to a queue to run up to 3 total runs in the allocated event time slot.

Event 1: Barrel Race

In this event you must program your robot to autonomously complete a figure-8 as quickly as possible without hitting the barrels or the border wall.

Event 2: Closest to the Pin

In this event your robot must autonomously navigate as close to the target as possible without hitting it.  Time will be used as a tie-breaker.

Event 3: Long Jump

This event is pure robot adrenaline!  This is the only manually-controlled event.  The goal is to jump your robot as far as possible...and to make it look super-awesome!!!  This finale event will be the best place to show your creativity.
